Welcome to the official website of the Empire State Towing & Recovery Association (ESTRA), the voice of New York State's towing industry. Recognized nationally for its leadership, ESTRA is committed to advancing and protecting the interests of towers throughout the state.

ESTRA is a statewide professional organization, established by towers and for towers. Our association works hard to promote respect for the professional tower and to educate the general public and governmental agencies and representatives about the towing industry.

With offices in New York's capital, ESTRA maintains a strong presence as an advocate for the towing industry and related businesses, supporting pro-towing state and local legislation and ordinances and opposing those regulatory measures that would be detrimental to the industry.

A strong proponent of education and professionalism, ESTRA also sponsors a variety of educational programs for its members throughout the year. These programs run the gamut from hands-on towing and recovery training and demonstrations, to national driver certification testing, to business-related seminars designed to hone members' business management skills and boost the profitability of their operation.

Our impact as an association extends well beyond our state borders. ESTRA is a founding memberof a regional coalition of 10 state towing organizations known as the Conference of Northeastern Towing Associations (CNTA). In addition, ESTRA has established a national presence in the industry by developing a close working relationship with the towing industry's foremost national association, the Towing and Recovery Association of America (TRAA).
